Solar Impulse Gearbox

We were tasked with designing a two-stage compound gearbox for use in the Solar Impulse plane, the first solar-powered fixed-wing plane to circumnavigate the world. A MATLAB script was used to optimize its design. Engineering constraints were obtained from an engineer that worked on the project, making the project realistic, and challenging.
